Anyone else see anything wrong with this?
ByLet me explain, I live in Southern California because my husband is in the military we plan on moving soon so I am here at the apartment complex. Since we’ve been here I noticed that no one in the apartment complex speaks English and most of the people that live here do not work. I also noticed that alot of the children do not attend school. I know this because I noticed they are here all day, the children are very loud and so are the adults who blast their salsa music, I don’t understand how they can afford living in these apartments when it seems to me they are here all day. Just wondering if anyone sees anything wrong with this, some people work and go to school to better themselves.
Forgot to put every month we usually get someone coming to our door selling socks, cd’s, ice cream….what’s that all about?
At least some people see that something is wrong here. I don’t know what the police will do, but I don’t want to take anyone’s family away or anything, it’s just annoying seeing that alot of these kids and adults don’t do anything all day and my husband and I work hard to stay in these apartments. If I do call the police at all, how would I address it?

That is very strange. I would talk to the landlord….dont bring it up to him like you are complaining, but ask him in a wondering way. Put a no solicitation sign on your door…in spanish i guess.lol, but talk to the landlord i cant see how he wouldnt know. Perhaps they are all on welfare, homeschooling.???

They sound illegal to me, hence not sending their kids to school. I’d anonymously call the police if I were you.

Because these people are illegal immigrants. They are elligible for section 8 housing, which pays for the majority of their rent (your tax dollars at work) and they sell what they can to make up the rest. Most Mexican men do not allow their wives to work or even socialize (a cultural thing). They also get food stamps to feed the children. Since they are illegal and they don’t have the proper health care or documentation, their children cannot get into school. The part I dont like are the ones who just want to take and take without becoming citizens. The citizenship process is too damned long and complicated, but there are those who just dont even try and it pisses me off. We need to kick out the leeches and kick government in the a** about speeding up the citizenship process if you ask me…

these people are probably on a fixed income or no income. Most could be receiving government a**istance and your apartment complex has a low income housing guideline or program in which they qualify. Right or wrong is irrelevant here, the answer is they have some sort of subsidized housing in which you do not qualify for.
