Rock songs turned into lullabyes – Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Metallica, etc. etc. etc.?
By admin“Rockabye Baby! is a series of albums put out by some record label that feature your favorite rock songs turned into wordless, soothing lullabies for children. Each album costs $17 and is basically a “best of” the particular artist. There are a ton to choose from like Metallica, Rolling Stones, Green Day, The Beatles, The Pixies, AC/DC, Smashing Pumpkins, U2, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, Radiohead, Tool, Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, along with a bunch of others.”

That’s a great way to introduce little kids to good music. Especially with what they could grow up on… I’ll have to look into this more. I’m expecting a sibling in October

metallica lullabyes?
great start the kid right off with serious potential for terrible taste in music at the dawn of life

Well… I suppose it’s giving the babies an early start, lol.
Although, when I hear them, I think of those midi versions of songs on crappy websites…

I heard about that a while ago. As if Metallica’s Black album wasn’t insomnia-inducing enough…
But OH SNAP! MASTER OF PUPPETS!!
And am I the only one who thinks the AC/DC samples don’t sound a thing like the AC/DC songs?

My mom actually bought the Rockabye Baby Pink Floyd one for my cousin because my aunt loves Pink Floyd. I listened to it and it is sooo cute. What better music to be in lullaby form then Pink Floyd, it already is like a lullaby!

I love em! I bought the Pink Floyd one for Floydian Trooper’s baby, and he seemed to enjoy it
I only wish Rush had one

I saw the Pink Floyd one at Wallyworld.
It was pretty clever how they put a pig on the front.
And haha I just noticed the Nine Inch Nails one. Oh I’ll definitely be having my kid listen to Closer when he/she is going to sleep!
I’m serious.

I think its cool, but my parents were so cool that they gave us a choice when we were kids to listen to what we wanted, and i chose the best in music, Rock And Roll.

Wow, that’s actually a really cool idea. Wish I thought of that. I’d totally buy the Smashing Pumpkins and Radiohead one for my kids when I have some

Haha I think that’s a really cool way to introduce good music to young kids.
Cause I know that if I ever had kids I don’t exactly want to be stuck listening to some disney band in the car or something like that

i’ve heard of this, but i just used to sing all my favorite songs to him to fall asleep…….46&2 and Cla**ic girl always did the trick. then he started asking for the real thing. now he falls asleep to jane’s addiction, alice in chains and TooL.
