like, not specific like salsa or ballroom. I guess hip hop would be closest to what I’m looking for. I mean, a cla** where you could learn to move in a way that might be useful when going out to a club, or dancing at a party.
I am kinetically quite stupid and can’t pick up stuff from just watching people informally. I think I need remedial attention by taking a cla** where someone will break it up for me piece by piece and we all practice it. what kind of cla** would this be? what would it be called? basic movement? does anyone have specific places to recommend in new york/northern nj?

I already know about Rumba and National 27, but where else can I take her? I like Rumba’s setup since customers can eat and dance, if there are other places like please let me know! If not a great place to take a girl dancing with a fun atmosphere.

I can see how I would go about looking for somewhere to take ballroom dance cla**es or salsa dance cla**es, but I am a HORRIBLE dancer and I just want to take like general dance cla**es so like at a wedding or something I can dance and not look like an idiot. What exactly am I going to be looking for when I try to find cla**es for what I want? What is the name for dance cla**es like that?
