Is this party idea lame? Andy ideas? Please help!?
Posted by: | Commentssalsa rock
People: 20-60 atendees, 6th graders to Juniors (ages 12-17, I know lots of people) girls and guys
Activities: Dancing (It IS a dance party after all…)
The music genres: rap/hip hop, pop, club music, alternative rock (anything with a nice beat)
Food & Drinks: Chips, salsa, candy, punch, water
Location: My garage which has surround sound speakers, a black light, and a bar (but no drinking)
What do you think? Any ideas? What other activities should we try to organize (keep in mind how “organized” 40 teenagers can be)?
Thanks so much in advance!
M
P.S. It’s a party just for the heck of it & to get to know friends & aquaintences better, not a birthday or anything.
And the 20-60 people is assuming half or a little less than half of the people will show up.
The age difference won’t be to horrible because they’ll brach off a little bit, and I get along with both groups, so I think I can make it work, but thanks for you concern.

This is just a handful of the songs I’m putting on the CD, and I’ll have them ordered so they segue nicely. Anyway, I’m trying to come up with a title, but I’m stumped. I can’t really call it “Indie Mood Music” because they aren’t all Indie musicians. Also, there’s got to be a veiled way to indicate that these songs are meant to set a certain mood. Any suggestions?
By the way, if you are unfamiliar with some of these artists, look them up. Every one of these songs is a gem.

Not a thing to do, but talk to you
Nothing to do, out in teh street
Oh yeah
Mom and dad live upstairs

Mis-Used now
but rock lives now
Oh yeah
We’re still rockin’ in Wisconsin
We’re all alright
We’re all alright
