Can anyone tell me what style of salsa dancing is this?

i went to a dance lesson ast night but i can’t remember the name of it. ladies always step backwards with their right foot, in the basic step. on the count of 1. so 1,2,3… 5,6,7. any ideas? thanks x

I love salsa, tango, and belly dancing. I like middle eastern inspired music; it’s so beautiful and entralling, almost hypnotizes.
Oh, and Ballet. I envy their grace(in a good way!)

shoe question – What heel height should i buy for a latin style dance performance?

I’m a tall (5″10) girl of med. build. I am going to be preforming a salsa/latin routine and i need to buy shoes, only 1 of the other 5 guys are taller then me and we switch partners so i am going to be taller then them anyways. I want a heel but i’m not sure what height will make me look good and not stupid.
Also where is a good place to get shoes without spending more then like $40.
and i have a size 12 foot. (yea HUGE; i know)
